A center?s hyperbaric oxygen therapy or specialty in wound care covering problem wounds, skin grafts and flaps, exceptional blood loss anemia, necrotizing soft tissue infections, osteomyelitis, chronic non healing wounds, osteoradionecrosis (ORN), radiation tissue damage, thermal burns, gas gangrene, crush injuries, compartment syndrome, and other acute traumatic ischemias
Hyperbaric research a center may be conducting in neurology, stroke, cerebral palsy, cerebral edema, traumatic brain injury, transient ischemic attack, near drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke inhalation, decompression sickness, and gas embolisms.
Centers might also list other investigational indications that they may be treating such as autism (autistic conditions), multiple sclerosis, lyme disease, reconstructive surgery, headache, neuropathy, sports injury, plastic / cosmetic surgery, brown recluse spider bite, diabetic wounds, and other indications.
